The HT-S5400 provides a handy place to connect your iPod or iPhone via a USB port on the front panel. Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD-Master Audio processing ensures you'll hear the most uncompressed audio from your Blu-ray discs or other HD material. The addition of Dolby ProLogic IIz lets you add extra front-height channels, should you need an extra kick in your surround sound. All of it is put together with the customary solid circuitry and construction you expect from Onkyo.
Full, Satisfying Surround Sound
The HT-S5400 package features three different unique types of speakers, plus the subwoofer. The center channel is a two-way, bass-reflex speaker uses two 3.25"-cone woofers and a 1" balanced-dome tweeter to bring you up to 130 Watts of high-definition sound from 65Hz to 50KHz. To handle the front-channel audio, two powerful satellite speakers are included. Each is set up as a two-way bass-reflex speaker, and each wood cabinet contains a 5" cone woofer matched to a 1" balanced-dome tweeter, with a peak power of 130 Watts. The two pairs of surround speakers are full-range, acoustic-suspension dynamos comprised of a 3.25" cone. The bass-reflex subwoofer uses a robust 10" cone to pump out room-filling, satisfying bass. Every speaker in the package is housed in a wood cabinet for superior acoustics.
